Joining BYDs electric line up, which includes the BYD Dolphin, the BYD Atto 3 and the range topping BYD Seal, The Sealion 7 is a mid-sized all-electric SUV that made its debut in China in 2023. It is poised to compete with the Tesla Model Y.
This model marks the first European version to utilise an upgraded e-Platform. In the UK, it will initially be available in a high-performance dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, boasting a top speed of 134 mph and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.5 seconds.
The BYD Sealion 7 Comfort RWD and Design AWD variants come with an 82.5kWh battery for 298 miles and 282 miles of range respectively. At the top of the line-up, the Exellence AWD gets a 91.3kWh battery for 311 miles of range.
