Nissan has revealed the all-new PIXO, a compact electric car designed for European towns and cities. With up to 161 miles of official WLTP range, a flexible four-seat interior and 50kW DC rapid charging as standard, it offers a practical option for drivers looking for a smaller EV.
The PIXO will join the electric MICRA and LEAF in Nissan’s European line-up. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027, with UK pricing and pre-order details still to be announced.
What is the Nissan PIXO’s range?
The PIXO has a 27.5kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and an official range of up to 161 miles WLTP. That could make it a good fit for commuting, school runs and local journeys, particularly for drivers who can charge at home or work.
As with any EV, the distance achieved between charges will vary with speed, weather, terrain and the use of heating or air conditioning.
How quickly does the Nissan PIXO charge?
50kW DC rapid charging comes as standard across the range. Nissan says charging from 15% to 80% takes approximately 28 minutes at a suitable charger. The PIXO also supports 11kW AC charging, where the available supply allows it.
Small outside, practical inside
At 3,796mm long, the PIXO is designed for narrow streets and tight parking spaces. Its 9.9m turning circle should make manoeuvring around town easier.
There is room for four adults, while the two rear seats slide independently. Drivers can adjust them to prioritise rear legroom or luggage space. Nissan quotes 356 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, including 50 litres of cable storage, and 1,221 litres with the seats folded.
What technology does the PIXO have?
The PIXO’s Google built-in system brings navigation and connected features to a 10-inch central touchscreen, alongside a 7-inch driver display. Nissan says Google Gemini will be available from launch for natural voice interaction, while Face ID can recognise a driver and load their personalised settings.
For stop-start city journeys, the PIXO also has one-pedal technology, allowing the driver to accelerate, slow down and stop using the accelerator pedal. Nissan lists driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, Lane Departure Warning and Hands-Free Parking. Final UK equipment details should be checked when specifications are confirmed.
